Description:
The Kuwait Turtle Conservation Project is to have a duration of three years with the purpose of finding out the whereabouts of sea turtle populations on and around offshore Islands Kubbar, Qaru and Umm AL-Maradim in Kuwait. Population assessment, nest monitoring, satellite telemetry, environmental education and consulting authorities on legislation improvements are the main objectives of the project, which enjoys contributions from people of 6 different nationalities. The project is sponsored by TOTAL Foundation and TOTAL Kuwait and is carried out with the cooperation of the Voluntary Work Center Kuwait and The Scientific Center Kuwait.
