Description:

Chelonia Polynesia is a non-profit organization involved in the polynesian marine life protection and especially sea turtles.
The organization runs the sea turtle protection center located in Le Meridien Bora Bora resort on the island of Bora Bora, in cooperation with the French polynesian ministry of environment and SPREP organization.
We make research, conservation with several french labs and institutions. Our scientific advisor is the french specialist Jacques Fretey. One of our priority is public awareness and education with tourists and local schoolkids.
The oragnization is involved in other research programs for humpback whales, corals, sharks and tropical fishes conservation.
