Description:

CWC members currently monitor beaches on Manasota Key, Little Gasparilla Island and Gasparilla Island in SW Florida. Some of our activities include: beach monitoring for sea turtle nests and shore bird activity, sea turtle strandings for the state of FL, public outreach, teacher education and school programs.
We've been monitoring on Manasota Key since 1985 and took over the non-profit organization (CWC) in 1997
