Description:

The Sanibel Captiva Conservation Foundation (SCCF) monitors the 18 miles of beach from the Sanibel lighthouse to the north end of Captiva Island for sea turtle activity from May-October. SCCF staff and volunteers document all crawls, mark, monitor, and excavate nests and respond to strandings. SCCF also provides sea turtle outreach and education for the community.
