Tortugas Fundacion Yepez is an organization that has been working in sea turtle conservation for 43 years in Veracruz on the Gulf of Mexico, inspired by a fisherman who dedicated his life to protect and conserve turtles in the area, Don Marcelino Yepez. The organization is non profit and non governmental and runs through donations in order to be able to monitor over 50km of beaches, rescue eggs layed in dangerous zones, protect females that arrive to lay eggs and educate both locals and visitors about the sea turtles and the environment.
