Description:

We are working to protect Puerto Rico's Northeast Ecological Corridor. It's 3,000 acres, and 7 miles of beach are the second most important for Leatherback turtle nesting in US Jurisdiction. We achieved protection of the area as a nature reserve in 2008, but the current governor removed the designation. We celebrate a Leatherback Turtle Festival every year in April and continue to work arduously to protect the Corridor permenantly.
