Description:

Tukik Babel is a local initiative on Bangka island in Indonesia, to help recover the population of Green Turtle and Hawksbill Turtle. We are collecting the sea turtle eggs that would otherwise be sold on the markets, and put them in our hatchery. We also have a safe area within the sea for the hatchlings where they spent the first 2 months of their life before being released. All visitors are welcome to see our work with the sea turtles.
