A movement that promotes collective action towards protection and conservation of naturally nesting sea turtles in Sarangani Province, Philippines through education, capacity building, and protection awareness. We made the name sounds like "Pawikan", the Filipino term for sea turtles.
Our objectives are:
1) To provide community the necessary knowledge on the basics bioecological information of sea turtles;
2) To facilitate the formation of learning and sharing network among youths in sustaining advocacy and enhancing environmental leadership;
3) To help capacitate sea turtle hatcheries in proper and conservation-friendly management for an educative tool and ecotourism; and
4) To increase community participation in conservation practice.
