Equipment on Beach

This is some of the equipment on the beach associated wiht a nourishment project. The pipe along the beach transfers the material slurry from the dredger (visible in background) to the beach. The tripod unit is used to measure elevation of the newly constructed beach. Normally, all work and material associated with nourishment must be completed before the start of the sea turtle nesting season in North Carolina
