On 6 July 1981, Mr. Eleuterio Ramos of San Andres, Departamento de pisco, Peru, gave me several monel tags removed from Chelonia mydas that he had captured. One is enscribed with "ICA-S.A" and on the other side "1779". This tag is smaller than those used by the Universities of Costa Rica and Florida (3.5 rather than 4 cm long and 7 rather than 9 mm wide). Who is using these tags?
