This small, pleasantly produced softbound booklet is published and distributed by the Sea Turtle Restoration Project (a project of the Earth Island Institute). The document builds the case for TED's and the Sea Turtle Restoration Project's stance on shrimping and the associated dispute with the WTO. It makes no bones about its stance on the problem and includes a section detailing what readers can do to tackle the current situation. The booklet includes a preprinted postcard addressed to Vice President Gore which features a turtle carcass and the slogan "Slayed by Trade" on the front. These well produced proceedings contain the abstracts of over 60 papers covering an ecclectic range of disciplines (from environmental management to psychology and marketing) as they pertain to coastal tourism. No papers deal specifically with marine turtles but this volume would no doubt make a valuable addition to the library of anyone working in a closely related field.
