Background

Sure Hope is a hawksbill turtle that was found nesting early in the year at Belize's southernmost stretch of the Barrier Reef at the Sapodilla Cayes. She was found by biologists working for the Belize Fisheries Department and tag was applied according to instructions. No signals have been received of her migrations.

• Ocean currents and sea surface heights are derived from AVISO's Ssalto/Duacs Gridded Absolute Dynamic Topography & absolute geostrophic velocities data.
