Background

This turtle was captured on a Uruguayan pelagic longline vessel operating in the SW Atlantic within Uruguayan waters. Agustina was hooked in the beak. A PNOFA scientific observer removed the hook and released the turtle in good condition. Agustina was named after a fisherman's daughter and measured 56 cm CCL x 54 cm CCW.
