Background

This turtle was captured on a Uruguayan pelagic longline vessel operating in the SW Atlantic within Uruguayan waters. Yuliana was hooked in the flipper. A PNOFA scientific observer removed the hook and released her in good condition. Yuliana was named after a fisherman's daughter and measured 68 cm CCL x 65 cm CCW.
