Sooty Shearwaters in the California Current: 2008

A project of Pacific Procellariid Research Consortium.

This shearwater is one of seven fitted with a small satellite transmitter within the Columbia River Plume area - in the near future we will deploy a similar number of transmitters in Monterey Bay and Santa Barbara Channel, California. We will quanitfy the shearwater's habitat use and interconnectivity among the five west coast National Marine Sanctuaries.
