Dead black turtle 11/07/05

This is one of the first dead black turtles found close to Parque Hawaii, on the Pacific coast of Guatemala. We believe that she drowned in a trawler net. Shrimp boats trawl very close to shore, and we find lots of dead turtles during the months of June to October- which is incidently the busiest time of the shrimping season.
