dead black turtle cut open for her eggs

This dead black turtle was found close to Parque Hawaii, on the Pacific coast of Guatemala 11/07/05. We believe that once a dead turtle is found inside a trawler net, fishermen cut all of the females open and remove their eggs. Many of the daed turtles are found in this condition.
