Introduction

Terri is a juvenile, loggerhead marine turtle (Caretta caretta) that washed ashore in the Island of Jersey (UK) on January 10th, 2016. She was 'cold-stunned,' had a few minor lesions on her neck and shell and had a small amputation on the tip of her right flipper. Terri was rehabilitated in Jersey for one month where her temperature was gradually risen and general antibiotics were administered.
She left Jersey after 4 weeks and was flown by private jet to the 'Centro de Recuperacion de Fauna Sylvestre' in Taliarte, Gran Canaria, Spain where she was eventually released on March 18th, 2016, after a satellite transmitter and PIT tag was administered.
The idea of tracking Terri is to better understand the migratory routes of the marine turtles that can be found in cooler, UK waters.
