Introduction
|
|
Four green sea turtles have been tracked from Sandy Island, a 300m long sand cay at Scott Reef, 200nm off the Kimberley coastline, in Western Australia. The region is highly prospective for hydrocarbons and information on the location of internesting grounds, migratory pathways and feeding grounds are necessary for the preparation on Environmental Assessment and Management Plans. The last transmitter to be deployed was on Eden, on 5 January 2004.
