Introduction
In 2006, two of the non-releasable Bald Eagles in Carolina Raptor Center's eagle aviary raised two young. The young birds were outfitted with Microwave Telemetry Inc satellite transmitters and released. They have been migrating between the eastern Great Lakes the St. Lawrence River and the southeastern U.S. ever since. In 2010, the female nested for the first time near Birmingham, AL.
